About 2026 - Team Ethan

Ethan is an energetic and fun-loving 6.5 year old boy who started having seizures when he was 3.5 years old. On January 31, 2023, I was on my way to drop him off at daycare when he had his first seizure and our lives have not been the same since. Many seizures and a few months later, Ethan was diagnosed with CHD2. CHD2 is a gene mutation known for causing drug-resistant epilepsy. Even though Ethan has had 2 surgeries and takes 4 anti-seizure medications daily, he still suffers from frequent seizures. Through all of this, he is still such a happy, silly little boy who enriches the lives of everyone he encounters. Skip and I are fighting with everything we have to give Ethan the healthiest, happiest life possible. We have partnered with CCC to walk alongside us through this journey and have high hopes of their efforts leading to great improvement in the lives of kids with CHD2. We appreciate everyone who has supported Ethan over the years!
