About Miracles for Mary Nell

Mary Nell is about to turn 18 in 2025 and our world will change with new doctors, service providers, therapists and more as pediatric services will no longer apply. In a world where we depend on these services, starting over is pretty scary. I never thought I would miss Children's Hospital but we are starting to accept our new reality as we make the transition to adulthood. I wish it included all the "adult" fears that many consider: driving, going to parties, preparing for college, and moving away. But we don't look at it that way, we see all that she has brought to our life: innocence, compassion, vulnerability, playfulness, advocacy, awareness and engagement. Our family has its own mini-pharmacy and some think Marni has medical training (ha!). What we have found is that we have amazing friends and supporters that have been by our side for the past (almost)18 years and we could not have survived without all of you. We are so thankful for the blessings we have been given and we hope to continue to share our journey as we have learned going-it-alone is even scarier. With so much love and gratitude, Marni & Mark
